The Magick of Practical Transition: Embracing Change
Fearlessly choose! So you can joyfully receive, embrace, enjoy, celebrate, share and live whatever is on the other side... What's on the other side, you ask? Well, that is up to you; it all depends on what you allow and how willingly you allow. Just promise to be willing to allow. . . You'll be so glad you did.
It's as if the Universe is encouraging us to take advantage of this divine opportunity to re-evaluate our habits, choices, and the overall pattern or direction of our life so we can restore balance. Now is the time for us to be brave, to take a risk, to release and make the necessary changes that will bring us into harmony with our inner goddess - our best possible life. So, as you practice sadhana allow time and space to re-examine your feelings, thoughts and perspective, re-consider the whys and how's, and release.
By paying attention to ourselves, others, nature, and the cyclic flow of our life, we become acutely aware of what needs to be released; which also empowers us to honestly acknowledge and determine what's truly meaningful and important. As we do, little by little, we will simply release what isn't working, what doesn't feel good, and what we've outgrown, so we can make space for what we truly want... so we can consciously choose what we soulfully desire.
We begin by slowing down, witnessing, decluttering, and regrouping in a gentle, no pressure, sort of way.
Spend some time, today, in contemplation. And for the next four days pay attention to what holds your attention. Make note of the habits, choices, thoughts, daily rituals and anything else that you sense, or know, doesn't align with your highest vision, your soulful longings, or desired expression of self.
Relax, and rest, as you begin the process of letting go. . .
This goddess sadhana is an invitation to care for yourself in new ways.
Allow your inner goddess to be your guide during your sadhana practice.
Instead of focusing your attention and energy on many aspects or faces of the Divine Feminine, select only one. Choose a Goddess that you already know or feel comfortable with (or, one you want to know) and allow her to be your companion, inspiration and voice of wisdom. Or, don't choose any - and invite your own inner goddess to come forth!
This Sadhana Practice is intentionally simple.
Allow the energies to flow. There are no limitations, or rules stating how you are to practice this goddess sadhana, or how to engage with the four practices below. Only that you vow to do so in your own unique ways while listening to and being guided by the divine feminine!
⌘Goddess Sadhana Daily Practices:
- Meditation - actually meditate, or just daydream, journal, or set aside a few minutes to relax and clear your mind. Each day, you determine when, where, and how long. Stick to a routine or free flow - squeezing it in during random free moments...
- Move your Body - stretch, dance, practice yoga, go for a walk, spin, run, whatever you choose, for however long you choose. Just stir the stagnant energies by engaging in physical motion.
- Mingle with Mother Earth - whether you simply yet consciously witness the ever-changing sky, hug or climb a tree, lay upon the earth, dig in the dirt or sand, walk in the rain, pick flowers, swim in a lake or the ocean, dine Al Fresco, feed the birds, or let the wind blow through your hair... Respect, acknowledge or reconnect with the beauty and wonder of nature.
- Manifest - create or complete something. Use your imagination, thoughts, feelings and desire to bring anything, large or small, into reality. Prepare a meal, make art, write a haiku or poetry, sing a song, sew a skirt, embroider pillowcases, made a vision board, plant seeds, give birth to a baby or your dreams, get crafty - whatever! Just be creative and express yourself.
Sadhana practice really is that simple.
Journal daily.
Make note of your feelings, experiences, insights, thoughts and process. Keeping record of your journey enables you to hone your focus, see where changes are needed, be accountable to yourself, chart your progress, honor your inner goddess, and empower yourself in life changing ways. Journaling helps us bear witness to our self.
This is just what I need! So, why can't I get started? I've read this two days in a row, yet I can't move! I'm trying to be gentle with myself despite feeling stuck (damn procrastination!!), but I AM pushing myself to start today - thankfully the gate is open until the 12th!
ReplyDeleteYes, please continue to be gentle with yourself, Sarah.
DeleteRemember, starting sadhana need not feel overwhelming. It's a practice - not a 'demand'. So, simply begin in ways that feel comfortable and do-able. Meditate for one minute (daydream, or just close your eyes and breathe while resting your mind and body). Dance to a favorite song! Go outside and let your bare feet feel the earth or simply gaze out the window at the trees or sky. Make something good to eat, paint your toenails, or write a 'dream or bucket list'. The four daily practices do not need to be huge, time sucking activities... Relax into practice. Allow it to flow and feel effortless. It's an open door. Simply acknowledge that the door is open and take a single step toward it. And, if that feels good, take another and another and before you know it, you've crossed the threshold.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm delighted that you're part of our sisterhood.
Blessings & bliss.
